Keith Thomson Dip PFS, BA (Hons) has been a Director and Board Member of the Sight Support & Social Hub since October 2017. Before he retired in 2024, he was a Director and latterly Consultant with Blackadders Wealth Management LLP in Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh gaining over with 40 years’ experience overall in the financial services industry. He specialised in holistic financial planning, Trusts and Inheritance Tax mitigation, and also provided mentoring to the firm’s financial advisers. He was also the firm's Compliance Oversight officer and was fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Keith also was an external examiner for the Business and Financial Services element of the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice with the University of Dundee as well as being a tutor on the Conduct of Investment Business rules for SOLAS. He is also a mentor for Future Asset, a charity that aims to encourage girls of school age to develop an interest, and potentially a career, in the financial services industry. Keith won the Scotsman IFA of the Year competition in 2008 and away from work, he divides his time between family, travelling and playing golf.
Keith has been involved in charitable work since he first located to Dundee in 1986, being Chairman on Dundee Tayside Round Table and Fortay club, as well as previously being a member of Junior Chamber. He aims to help charities benefit from his knowledge and expertise, putting something back into the local community where he’s lived since 1986. SSHS provides a valuable service to the community and he is proud to be of assistance to the Board to continue their excellent work in this field
